The new St. Marks location seems to be just as popular as the Flushing original, serving thoughtfully presented meals in upscale-ish digs. Don't worry though, it is all pretty unassuming, the beautiful design of the restaurant and dishes go a long way in showing they care. The food packs a lot of flavor and enough spice, focusing on the delicacy and complexity of Sichuan food rather than bombarding you with heat. ° Szechuan Mountain House, 23 St. Marks Place, East Village, Manhattan: Instagram exclusive post, added to full map on website. ° (1) Sliced pork belly with chili garlic sauce (2) Spicy mung bean jelly salad (3) Stir-fried chicken with dried red chili (4) Blood curd, tripe, and ham in spicy soup, Chongqing style (5) Okra salad (6) Stir-fried cabbage with pork in casserole. ° ° #EattheWorldNYC #eattheworld #worldfood #worldfoods #instayum #instafood #instaeat #foodlovers #foodlover #forkyeah #nyceats #nycfood #nycdining #newforkcity #eatingnyc #eatingnewyork #manhattan #manhattaneats #eastvillage #eastvillageeats #eastvillagefood #china #chinese #chinesecuisine #chinesefood #sichuan #sichuanfood #szechuan #szechuanfood A post shared by Eat the World NYC (@eattheworldnyc) on May 10, 2018 at 6:32pm PDT
