The popular Chinese chain Little Sheep has arrived in New York, and so far things are looking good for the vast restaurant which is always full of Flushing's residents. The space has the thick scent of cumin oozing from it, and be prepared for everything you are wearing to take on this smell.
36 spices are in the soup base they serve here. Like most, a big bowl is brought out with one side of spicy and one non-spicy. Everything you order is tossed in the boiling broths and found later. Calling it Mongolian is a stretch, but it is certainly enjoyable and tasty. The meats and vegetables are very fresh, and all the ingredients are just right.
