USA 🇺🇸
[UPDATE: CLOSED]
About as far of a hike as possible on Manhattan from the subway lies Daisy May's over on 11th Avenue. It is a very low-key place, order from the front, sit yourself in the back. The dining area consists of large wooden tables and communal seating, surrounded by a good amount of kitsch.
The Memphis-style dry rub rack ($19.50, above, includes choice to two sides) is the reason we came, in preparation of a road trip down south. The ribs were very meaty and the "plate special" is definitely enough for two to share. We added a third "fixin" and had the creamed corn, dirty rice and beans, and baked beans, which were all very good.
